National Recycling Week!
National Recycling Week!

This National Recycling Week, your favourite stores at The Grove are making it easier than ever to recycle, repurpose, and give old items a new life. From old clothes and shoes to electronics and household items, discover the simple ways you can reduce waste, support charities, and help the environment while you shop. ♻🛍
Age UK
Age UK turns unwanted goods into something meaningful. Items that can’t be sold in their shops, including textiles, shoes, books, games, DVDs, and CDs, are recycled responsibly rather than sent to landfill. They also take care of plastics, cardboard, metal, and electricals, ensuring valuable materials are reused or repurposed to support both the environment and Age UK’s vital charitable work. 📚💿
Barnardo’s
Barnardo’s helps give unwanted items a second life. Damaged donations to their retail shops, including textiles, shoes, books, DVDs, and CDs, are recycled instead of going to landfill. They also recycle plastics, cardboard, metal, and electrical items, ensuring as much waste as possible is repurposed or reused, helping both the environment and their charitable work. 👖👞
Costa
Recycling your used coffee pods at Costa is simple. First, ask a barista in any Costa store for a pod recycling bag. Each bag can hold up to 75 pods, whether plastic or aluminium. Once it’s full, simply seal the bag and drop it off at any store. Costa will then send the pods to be sorted and recycled, keeping them out of landfill and giving the materials a second life. ☕✨
Poundland
Unwanted electricals are one of the UK’s fastest-growing waste streams, but many can be repaired or recycled, conserving resources and preventing harmful substances from leaking into the environment. Poundland helps customers keep unwanted electrical items out of landfill with a free like-for-like recycling scheme. Bought a new toaster? Bring back your old one, and Poundland will dispose of it safely and responsibly. This service is available in all stores, just ask a colleague for details and have your proof of purchase handy. 🌍🙌
Specsavers
Specsavers makes it easy to give old eyewear and accessories a new purpose. You can bring your unwanted glasses and cases to your local store, where they’ll be recycled free of charge. They also offer free contact lens recycling and safely recycle hearing aid batteries, helping to reduce waste and protect the environment. It’s a simple way to look after your vision and the planet at the same time. 👓🎧
Superdrug

In partnership with brands like Benadryl, Buscopan, Calpol, Nurofen, Imodium, Nicorette, Optrex, BuscoMint, Dulcolax, Sudafed, and Allevia, collection boxes are available in every Superdrug Pharmacy, so you can safely dispose of your empty medicine blister packets.
