Amy said “I started shopping exclusively second hand in 2021. This happened due to changing sizes during lockdown and needing to buy new clothes. I noticed how expensive new clothes had become, and started looking in charity shops more often. Slowly but surely I was finding more and more incredible items at low prices.

During this time I also started looking into the social and environmental impact of fast fashion and knew this was something I could no longer support. Learning that we have enough clothes on the planet to dress the next 6 generations, and that the fashion industry is the second biggest polluter in the world. Producing more carbon emissions than international flights and shipping combined.

Finding a great item in the Charity Shops gives you an amazing buzz. I have found the most wonderful items such as a Guess handbag for £3 and an All saints jacket for £2. You really never know what you might find.”
